Samer Issawi

My name is Samer
I am alive
I am still alive
I will forever be alive
Just like my Falastin

My name is Samer
I am strong
I am stronger than you think
Forty eight kilos and counting
Downwards
Just like my Falastin

My name is Samer
I don't need food
I don't need water
I eat dignity
I drink freedom
They taste better than life

My name is Samer
I may die
But not my name
You may burry my body
But like olive trees I will grow back
Everywhere in Falastin

My name is Samer
I have two mothers
One is suffering for I might die
She's called: Mama.
The other, I might die for
She's called: Falastin
